I guess it's not -too- unusual, since I don't always post regularly anyway, but I thought I'd pop in and let everyone know how it's going!
Some people might be aware that I was among the tens of thousands of people who were displaced back in August because of Hurricane Harvey- my house was flooded (just two days after posting my last length shot, in fact!) and so I've had to temporarily move in with other relatives.
It's been a tough last few months, but I am so happy to have my hair hobby to fall back on and help me relax when things seem overwhelming. There is something oddly calming and soothing about taking care of my hair when everything else has been shaken up.
Of course, I'm also very happy to say my hair's creeping closer and closer to midthigh! Woohoo!
A length shot? I think I'll have to postpone that, though- I don't have a great place to get a good shot of my hair, so you'll just have to take my word for it! ^^;
Hmm, oh here are some slightly older pictures from July of my hair in an 8 strand braid (Technically, a hawser braid) and a braided bun! Hope you like them!
Lots of hair in 8 strands. Technically, rope braids rope braided together to create this awesome thing. This brought my classic-length hair to shorter than hip length!! WOWZERS!
A sort of messy close-up so you can see how it looks!
In a bun- love the result! The stick is from Hairjems on Etsy.
Another view of the braided bun result! ^^
Thanks for stopping by, as always!
